Strategic Thrusts

Temasek Cares supports programmes that improve the lives of individuals, families and communities through the following four strategic thrusts:

Building People
Support with dignity for individuals and families in times of need
We give higher priority to helping individuals, families and communities that do not have alternative sources of support or opportunities for development. This includes programmes that provide bursaries to help students who are not eligible for scholarships or provide support for young persons with disabilities that have finished their stints in special schools.

Building Community
Through fostering racial and religious harmony and promoting understanding across cultures and languages for the underprivileged, poor and needy
We are committed to supporting programmes that help to achieve the greater goal of creating more vibrant and cohesive communities in Singapore.

Building Capability
Through education, training and other initiatives to improve opportunities for livelihood
We support programmes that help enhance livelihood opportunities for the individual or build capability of the non-profit organisation or the sector. This can take the form of education funds for the sector or early intervention programmes for children with learning or intellectual disabilities.

Rebuilding Lives
Through a helping hand for another chance for the disadvantaged individuals, families or communities
We extend help to disadvantaged individuals so that they are able to successfully reintegrate into society. From persons with mental illness to ex-offenders, we believe that everyone deserves to rebuild their lives.
