Temasek Cares – Employment Support Services
Helping persons with mental illness find and sustain employment

The Temasek Cares – Employment Support Services (Temasek Cares - ESS) is a programme that provides employment support services to persons recovering from mental illness.
Run by the Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS), the programme aims to help 250 beneficiaries over a period of two years. The SACS is a leader in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation in Singapore. It runs programmes which provide residential and day care services to persons with mental illness.
The Temasek Cares-ESS programme aims to help persons with mental illnesses address the many challenges they face in securing and sustaining a job. The programme provides employment specialists to help clients find jobs that best match their interest, ability and condition. Support is also available to help clients perform his or her job effectively and to remain in the job.
The programme actively engages the business community to create awareness of the need to reintegrate persons with mental illness into the workforce. For the employer, support will be made available to ensure that the person with mental illness is able to perform the job and to fit into the organisation.
