Building People FY 2009-2010 Temasek Cares Bursary for ITE studentsFocus on helping financially-needy ITE students to succeed Partner: Institute of Technical Education
The students were chosen from financially-needy families. For various reasons, they are unable to benefit from scholarship or financial awards from the existing system.Without financial assistance, these students are at risk of dropping out of school. Despite their financial challenges, these students have done well in school. Some have taken up leadership roles and all have been assessed to have good character, possess sound values and are likely to contribute positively to society in the future. It is hoped that the bursaries will help to encourage the students and assist them to excel in their course of study.

Temasek Cares and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) have come together to offer bursaries to promising students from low-income families. Known as the Temasek Cares Bursary, the award will help a total of 90 students from all 3 ITE colleges over the next two years.
